01 Music
Pitchfork Review Explorer: Expand your musical horizon. Choose an artist and the music critics from Pitchfork will show you related artists whose albums they have reviewed.
02 Culture
Microchip Conspiracy Theory: In order to debunk the conspiracies of our times it pays to look at well researched deep dives into their origin. How an innocuous Reddit thread mutated into a dangerous, viral lie.
03 Writing
Umberto Eco’s Rulebook: What exactly makes a piece of writing creative? Four rules out of old G 'Umberto Eco's rulebook.
04 Tech
Apple Keynote at 7PM: Apple is the master of crafting narratives around its products. There is lots to criticize - like their propaganda-like communication or developer-hostile tax - but each keynote still remains a cultural moment. Below you can watch the keynote and here a roundup on what to expect.
05 Documentary
Roadrunner, a new documentary examining the life, death and legacy of Anthony Bourdain, has released a first trailer. In death, as in life, Anthony Bourdain brought us closer together. Another occasion to learn from a defining storyteller and mensch.
06 Music
Modern Africa Spotify Playlist: Modern Africa - the beating heart of a young people's continent.

09 Letter of the week
Sometimes a poem is all it needs.
This is the one I am pondering this week.
Compassion by Miller Williams
Have compassion for everyone you meet, even if they don’t want it.
What seems conceit, bad manners, or cynicism is always a sign of things no ears have heard, no eyes have seen.
You do not know what wars are going on down there where the spirit meets the bone.
Millers poem inspired great art. His daughter, the singer Lucinda Williams, turned it into a touching audible poem, reminding us that the hardest thing is to stop pointing the finger and blaming someone.
Songwriter prodigy Taylor Swift recently picked up the theme with a song shifting the perspective and drawing up a story of infidelity devoid of the perspective of blame.
The poem invites us to reflect on where we feel blame and can replace it with compassion and empathy.
I hear echos of the great poet Rumi and his image of life being a guesthouse:
Wishing you a great week,
